How does the age calculator work?

If you’ve ever wondered how old you were and then tried to retrieve your age in all kinds of measurements units then you are in the right place. The above age tool shows you how old you are in all kinds of numbers. Each year you get older by one unit and some of the lucky ones reach a number of 80 units or even more. What if we tell you can live to be 29,200, and by this we mean days?!

All you have to do is enter your birth date for the age calculator to return your age in years, months, weeks and even your age in days, hours, minutes and seconds. As a bonus you are also going to receive a ticking countdown that tells you exactly how much time is left until your next birthday and you can see the seconds or minutes go away (if you’re patient) as you get closer to the big day.

Example result:

You are 27 years old...

  or 331 Months old

  or 1443 Weeks old

  or 10102 Days old

  or 242459 Hours old

  or 14547564 Minutes old

  or 872853874 Seconds old

And, Your next birthday will be in:

4 Months 3 Days 13 Hours 35 Minutes 4 Seconds

What is really the age of an individual?

Aging is a complex process of changes in a person over time. These changes are physical in the biological aging, psychological in chronological aging and social for the social aging. There are different ways to express age, differentiated for each culture. One of the differences consists in whether the years should be counted with or without including the current year. Another difference is that the age is commonly measured in years since the day of birth in many cultures, while in others, like in parts of Tibet the newborn is already nine months old as the age is measured since conception.

This exact age calculator takes the difference between the day you request the calculation and the birth date you enter and transforms it in different units used for measuring time, such as: years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds. This way you can answer your questions: " How old am I?" or “How many days until my next birth date?”. Don’t forget that time is not an invention, time is not a fact. It is more a measurement system put in practice by humanity to keep track of actions and events.

Age is an important part of the human life reflecting the biological changes but also the cultural and social conventions and one's life should be enjoyed at its fullest in every stage no matter at what age. As Mark Twain said: "Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."
