How does the calorie burn calculator work?
This is an easy to use tool that allows you to choose up to 5 different activities at the same time and input a different duration for each of them in order to calculate your personalized calorie burn program according to your exercise or even simple daily activities. There are two measurement tabs, English and Metric so you can choose to input your weight in either lbs or kg. You are also briefly instructed to enter the time in minutes for each activity after you select them. There are various choices as you count the calorie burn for over 100 physical activities and you can also repeat the calculation with different scenarios for as many times as you like.

What are calories burned?
Basically, calories burned measure the amount of energy we consume by doing different activities and even when sleeping. Calories represent units of energy and are defined as the amount of heat necessary to raise 1 g of water with one degree Celsius. The unit used in food labels is similar, the kilocalorie. Overall these are indicators of how much energy is stored while each activity has an energetic demand that determines a number of calories to be lost, burned. This demand varies with the type of activity, its intensity and the amount of time.
