### Series circuit

This is the electric circuit in which the current goes through every component in that circuit, because the components are placed one following the other. The formula for the total capacity of a group of series capacitors is equal to the sum of the capacitor’s individual resistances:

**C total = 1/(1/C1 + 1/C2 + 1/C3 ... + 1/Cn)**

where C total is the total capacity and C is the parallel capacitors capacity.
